Ladies Night & Arbonne Party

On Wednesday evening I hosted a few ladies at my house for an Arbonne Party. Arbonne is mainly a skincare company that is distributed through network marketing (AKA, you have an excuse for a ladies night!). My good friend Brandi recently started up as an independent consultant, so I decided to host a party.

I've used the products before; I believe it's been on and off since 2007, but I'm not positive on the date - somewhere around there! I think the products are great so this wasn't just me supporting my friend, although I am glad I am able to support her too! I got a little gift for hosting the party and I also ordered some products myself, so once I've used them all for awhile I'll let you know what I think! I can also share about products that I have used in the past, if anyone is interested :).

For the party I of course wanted to offer my guests a little bit of food, so I decided to make kale chips and stuffed mushrooms. I put those out along with some hummus and chips and added in the treats some of my guests brought as well. I've never made kale chips before, but they were so good! I will definitely be making them again sometime soon.

There were only 6 of us there for the evening, so I limited myself to those appetizers, but sometimes I go a little crazy with the food - I just LOVE hosting!

What do you like to serve when you're hosting a ladies night? Have you tried Arbonne products before?

Mary's Wedding

On Sunday I went to Mary's Wedding at the Persephone Theatre. My good friend Jackie played Mary so I was really happy to be able to see this play, although I left it right to the end - it was the final show!

The play takes place the night before Mary's wedding in a dream. It's about herself and Charlie, who meet and find love while seeking refuge from a sudden storm. Her dream is about her time with him and the trenches of the Great War, with the transition between the two being perfectly seamless.

I really enjoyed Mary's Wedding. I don't typically enjoy anything to do with war, but the way that this play comes in and out of reality, mixing events that did happen or at least could have happened with others that definitely couldn't have - such as Mary speaking through her love's sergeant while still in her nightgown - just made it flow so seamlessly that it kept moving from one setting to the next.

Overall, I am glad I went and the cast and crew did a wonderful job!

Have you been to any plays or productions recently?

And I Love Her - Passenger

I know I just uploaded a new post, but I came across this video today and it is just too great not to share. It's beautiful that, as women, we can be all of these things - at the same time even!
