Saw an old friend that warms my heart with every single word today. Sisterly love and support is what she offers me and what I strive to offer her. We can talk about anything: men, books, work, school, faith... you name it, it's safe.

Good Read

I have just finished Brunonia Barry's the Lace Reader and I absolutely adored it. The way that she was able to tell the story from different perspectives, the way she used different methods to get the story out, and the surprising twist that came scarily close to the end that I was almost worried it would be a dull book without the needed twist. Timing in this book was everything and looking back I can see so much foreshadowing that I have already planned to read it again to see what aspects of the foreshadowing are slipping my mind. Amazing book!
